Horsemen Elite Raider Guidelines.
As we enter a new tier of raiding, it is important that raiders understand what is expected of them to be part of the raid team. This applies to all current mythic raiders, and hopefully give some insight to players who are looking to join in mythic raids in the future. The list is in no order, as all items on it are important. |
*Raiders please read the guidelines in their entirety, expand the "Raider Acknowledgement" section below the guidelines, fill out the form, and submit.

Attendance - (Mythic): Mythic raids are posted for Sunday/Monday. The calendar event will be locked on Friday, and raids will always be posted at least a week in advance. Not responding will be considered “standby”, and your spot may not be guaranteed. If you are going to be late, or unsure of your availability for a raid, please contact an officer with as much information as you have. There is an “Attendance” text channel in Discord if there is no other way to contact an officer.
Attendance - (Normal/Heroic): If you sign up, you are expected to be online and prepared at the time listed on the calendar. If you are going to be late, please contact an officer using Discord, WoW app, Blizzard app, or in-game.

Fight Preparation: Raiders should watch, read about, and understand fight mechanics before attempting the fight. FatbossTV will be the default videos to follow, but may change if we find a better strategy.
For new raiders/trials: Fights that we have progressed through will be briefly explained, it is important that BEFORE we get to a boss, you have watched the videos, and asked an officer if we have changed strategies on it drastically, or used a different video.
Mythic Plus: It is expected that each raider is trying to gear outside of raiding. Mythic + cache is a huge asset to a raider. The current cap on gear in M+ is +15. Completing one dungeon at +15 will result in a Titanforged item from your weekly cache. If you are having issues completing your Mythic +, ask in guild or talk to an officer.
Artifact Power : At least 52 traits in your weapon, giving you Concordance. Getting your offspec to 52, if it is planned to be used in raid, is also very important.
Contribute Flasks: You will be required to donate 3 Str, Agi, or Int Flasks AND 1 Stamina Flask weekly. This supplies us with enough mats to make guild cauldrons, and with extra procs, will give us “free weeks” where no one is required to contribute flasks. Flasks should be mailed to Elorra-Frostmane by Fridays. If you are unsure if you sent flasks in already, contact Elorra/Syphaa.
Consumables: Bring enough Runes, Health/Mana Pots, DPS Pots to last the entire night. If you think you might run out, bring extra, it’s better to have too many than too few. If you are running low, try to use the 6-minute break to restock.

Follow Call-outs from Officers: When something is called out by an officer, or has been discussed prior to the pull, it needs to be done. We are all learning the fights, and making adjustments based on our raid’s comp/strengths/weaknesses. If it is the wrong call, and the raid wipes, we will adjust the strategy, fix the mistake in planning, and try again. However, if a call is ignored because a player feels they know better than the plan, and we wipe, we cannot make adjustments based on the pull.
Officers are not always right, but if everyone is executing the same plan, listening to the same call outs, then we have the data to fix the problems.
AFKs: We typically have a 6-minute scheduled break 1 hour from the start of the raid. Please try to plan to be at your PC, ready to pull when the break timer expires. Do not AFK during trash between bosses, after you die during a boss, or while loot is being distributed. If something does require an AFK, please inform an officer, and try to approximate how long it will take.
Use Your Microphone When Needed: During progression, communication can make or break a fight, raiders should be prepared to call out when necessary. We are on Discord for a reason, there are many fights that require players to inform others of their status. It’s important to keep Discord clear during boss fights, but also call out something that is vital to the fight.
Performance: Officers will review your logs, to see how well you handle mechanics, and complete your role. Do not tunnel unless specifically told to. Be aware of your surroundings. Raiders who are performing well, successfully handling mechanics, and following directions will be favored in Loot Council. Links to logs will be provided in the “Raid” text channel of Discord, use the information in them to improve.
Use Defensives/Health Pots When Necessary: Health pots are provided by the guild, in the guild vault. Use them when necessary to survive. In many fights, a call out is made by a Raid Leader to use a defensive, if able save a defensive for it. Living is more important than squeezing out an extra ability, don’t be afraid to move.
Take Constructive Criticism: Officers may call specific people out for failing at a mechanic. Take this as constructive criticism, and try to fix the issue that caused the mechanic to fail.
Repair: Please repair before raid, and whenever a repair bot/auto-hammer/repair mount is available, even if your durability isn’t low. It may not be possible to drop another for a time.
Raid-Wide Consumables: Feasts and Cauldrons will be dropped when needed, both have a limited duration, when it is announced that one has been placed, please get them in a timely manner. Cauldrons contain 10 extra flasks, those extra flasks will alternate between groups. Groups 1 and 2 will get the extra 10 from the first cauldron, Groups 3 and 4 will get them from the second cauldron. If you miss a feast or cauldron you will have to use your own food/flask.
Avoid Wasting Time: No early pulls, extra trash pulls, etc.

Loot will be set to personal for Normal/Heroic, and RCLoot Council for Mythic.
Normal/Heroic Personal Loot: If you receive an item you would like to set up a roll for, whisper a link of the item to Syphaa. Syphaa will then do a raid warning linking the item. If it is for an off-spec, type OS in raid chat after your roll. Main spec will receive loot before Offspec.
Mythic RC Loot Council: Loot council consists of 3 officers, and 2 Raiders selected at random for that week. Once you are on the loot council we will create/invite you to a channel to discuss loot. Loot will be distributed using RC Loot Council add-on. The guidelines we use for determining who gets loot are fairly simple:

- Attendance: Consistency in attending raids signed up for, responding to calendar invites in a timely manner, and informing people (by marking “declined” on calendar, using Discord’s attendance channel, or by speaking to an officer who will mark them as declined on calendar).
- Performance: DPS/HPS are major factors, but also listening to raid call-outs, following mechanics, and demonstrating a knowledge of fights.
- Upgrade Difference: The difference in usefulness is obviously a factor. This does not mean solely an Item Level upgrade, proper secondary stats often trump pure item level with how gear balancing works in Legion.
- Effort: Gearing outside of raid is one of the most important things for raiders to do. This should be noted when giving out loot. Mythic Plus and Heroic raids can Titanforge gear better than drops in Mythic Raid.
